Sfakianaki Katerina
Physicist
Katerina Sfakianaki is a physicist. She also has a postgraduate Diploma, in environmental physics from the Physics Dept. of the University of Athens. She was working as a research scientist in the Group of Building Environmental Studies (University of Athens) (2002-2010) and had participated in a variety of European research and applied projects in energy conservation, integration of renewable energies in buildings, indoor air quality, thermal comfort and passive cooling.
She is currently working as a physicist in CRES and has participated in a variety of national and European projects which are contributing to RES projects, energy saving in buildings as well as in the development and implementation of legislative framework adopting EU policy directives.
Her technical skills include experimental testing, air tightness and ventilation measurements, and dynamic thermal modelling.
